Mercedes refreshing the R-Class crossover?



Looking at these pictures, yes they are. Recently caught undergoing hot-weather testing in Death Valley, CA the facelifted R-Class will go on sale by Summer 2010.

The refresh will consist of a heavy revised front fascia, including squared off front head-lamps, following the rest of the Mercedes line-up and LED datime running lights. While the overall shape of the newcomer remains the same, the rear will receive a small nip and tuck. The interior will also receive of few updates. New technology will feature to keep up with the pace of the luxury crossover market.

Since the launch of the R-Class in 2005, the current model got a refreshed front bumper in 2007. A complete redesign is expected by 2013.
