To be financially viable for the program, allegedly, would have to order the vehicle the nickname "Roxster" to share a platform with other vehicles in the VW group. In this case, it would be like the Audi B8 platform, the Audi Q5 will be A4, A5 and supported.
The risk that Porsche is the same, the General Motors confronted for decades with the product overlap. Can a Roxster be sufficiently differentiated from the Q5 to justify a higher price? Porsche can avoid direct competition with its new corporate cousins at Audi? Porsche apparently wants with the likes of the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLK-Ben, but the Q5 already fills the niche, so another model is needed to compete?
