Chevrolet Camaro will not be catalogated as a muscle car
Listening to Mark LaNeve, GM-North America’s vice president of sales and marketing, we found out that the new Chevrolet Camaro will not be catalogated as a muscle car. Although the car will feature a V-8 engine we cannot say that is an eco-friendly vehicle due to the CO2 emissions of the big power plant.
Beside the V-8, the car will also receive a V-6 engine which will be able to offer greater fuel economy, more exactly 28 miles per gallon. “The mainstream positioning will be fuel economy, design and a V-6.” told Mark LaNeve to the press.
Although everybody knows the Camaro as a high speed muscle car, GM wants to change this and transform the car in an eco-friendly sporty ride. When it will be launched, GM will highlight some of the car features like: handling, bold styling and fuel economy. The new Camaro will also enter the “Gas-Friendly, Gas-Free” campaign, which promotes technologies like ethanol-powered engines.
